Lets meet at the Library at 10:30 to meet Santa.

Santa will be at the library on the 17th of DEC, at 10:30 and 1:30. We could meet up there for a play date. Let me know what time you guys would like to go. Also I was wondering if you guys would like to do a play date this week on Wednesday at the church again. We could bring crafts of our own again that we would like to finish or even do the gingerbread house making like Shara suggested. Or do nothing and sit and talk while the kids play.

Shopping @ the mall?

Need some time to shop at the mall before Christmas? How about a play date at the play area at the mall. Some mothers stay and watch the kids, while the others shop. Then switch off?? Lets decide on a date:) I love the mall, yet not with children:)

Thanks to Becca for talking to the bishop about using the church. And because of that, we are going to have a play date at the church tomorrow Tuesday 11-24-09. It will be in the nursery at 10:30 a.m. and if you would like you can bring a craft to do while your children are playing. Also, if you want to bring a snack to share, you can. Hope to see you there.

meet up

We are going to go to the open gym on Friday morning. If you would like we can meet at my house on 475 J Street a few minutes before 9:00 and carpool and/or follow over to the Recreation Center on 520 Memorial Drive. I haven't been before but have heard it's fun. Hope to see you all there.

Ideas for this winter

Here is some information I got off the city web site. I thought they would be good ideas for a play date. We can schedule something for next week if everyone would like but we might have to change the day we do if we decide to do one of these. I put the ice skating one just for an idea. I also put a link to where I found these at the bottom of the page if you want more info. Just copy and paste into your browser.

PRE-SCHOOL OPEN GYM PLAY GROUP

When it's cold outside and the kids are bored, bring them to the play group at the Recreation Center on Tuesday and Friday mornings. It's only a dollar a kid and they can play in a big indoor space. We have mats on the floor with balls of all sizes, hula hoops, a slide, sit n spin, hippity hops, tunnels and more. The kids love it. They can go crazy! Parents can sit on the side lines or join their kids and play. It's a good activity for the kids during these cold winter months.

This program will run from October 13, 2009 through March 2010.

DAYS: Tuesdays and Fridays

I'm sorry to say we are going to have to cancel the Halloween party. I know its short notice. We had little time to prepare it and there are quite a few people who are sick. I hope nobody is too disappointed. I thought we could start right now to plan a Christmas party with yummy food and games. Let me know what you think.

walk on wednesday

Its a late start up for the play group. I think everyone has been busy or sick. But were going to have a meet up on Wednesday of this week(the 21st). I thought we could meet up at the church about 11:00 to walk to the river and maybe feed the ducks. Its suppose to be sunny and about 56 f. So dress kinda warm. If the weather changes, like it usually does, and it rains we can meet at my house and the kids can play.

Change?

Is everyone good with changing playgroup to Wednesdays @ 10:30? We also want to go to the zoo again before the weather changes to cold. How is Wednesday the 23rd to start the new change? Any other suggestions are welcomed!

BBQ @ the Park

We have decided to have a BBQ on Thursday the 27th of August starting at 5:30. We will not be having Playgroup on Tuesday. Everyone is invited, Husbands, friends without kids, etc. We will be having it at Tautphaus Park by the blue squishy playground. Bring something to share and your own meat to BBQ or an already cooked main dish with you. Please comment with what you intend to share so we don't show up with similar items. Please comment also if you could bring one or some of the following......

• cups
• plates
• utensil's
• napkins
• soda/drinks/water
• charcoal with fuel.

School

School is starting soon! Is everyone okay with Tuesdays and 11:00? Do we want to switch the days? What is going to work best for everyone? Should we postpone until school starts? Is anyone up for one last Lake day? Or a big end of Summer BBQ? Campout? Suggestions! I'd still love a 'mom's night out' with out the kids! Everyone post or reply!!

Hey everyone I got a list of show times for the Edwards free movies this summer for children from sis. Rachel walker. (thank you by the way) they are totally free for children and parents. We are going to go next Tuesday for playgroup. I think it starts at 10:00a.m. if I'm wrong will someone please correct me. the tale of desperaux and kung fu panda are playing. You can go to either movie. We can just meet at Edwards unless someone would like to carpool let us know and we can all figure out who's driving. I'll put the rest of the movies and show times on a later post for everyone so they know.

splash park

At the last play date everyone decided since it was warming up we can go to the splash park now without it raining. So we are going to meet at 10:00a.m. on Tuesday the 30Th at my house (Rachael Blackburn) and drive up together. I would bring a lunch and everything else that Shara suggested to bring in her last post when we thought we were going. Spread the word.

Rexburg Splash Park

Looks like the Splash Park won the vote for June 16th. Were meeting earlier so we can enjoy more of the sun before the Naps!

The Rainy Zoo day this past Tuesday turned into a McDonalds Playland day. Is the Zoo on the 9th going to work for everyone? We could have Jana's house as a back-up for bad weather.

Tuesday the 26th

I know we all said the Zoo for this week, yet I changed my vote. Sorry I really would love to go and you all can still go, I just was going to be longer in SLC than I had originally planned. My best friend passed away and the funeral will be on Tuesday. So I was thinking we could change it to Tuesday the 2ND of June? If not that is not a big deal, we can always do the Zoo plenty of other times. I just wanted to let you know why the vote had changed. Right now it is tied with 2 for the zoo and 2 for a members house. Or any other suggestions?
